“Beauty of Aquaria” Mod, New Fan Art and More…
A new fan-made mod called “Beauty of Aquaria” was just released! Its a chill exploration level - no need to worry about fighting off hoards of enemies. The mod was created by Yogoda and you can find more information about it here.
Also: in development and nearing release, is TheBear’s epic story-based Aquaria prequel mod - featuring new RPG elements like dialogue trees and shops. I’m really impressed with the programming and level design muscle behind this mod! Check out TheBear’s time lapse video of one level’s construction:

Speaking as a “member” of the Aquaria: Sacrifice “team” (it’s really all TheBear… I’m just helping him edit the script), it’s great to see a plug for his mod on the main page. For everyone who wants to know, the mod is looking fantastic and I think it’s going to be well worth the wait. Can’t wait until it releases!
I’ve gotta’ get off my ass and get that Beauty of Aquaria mod as well. I’ve heard good things.

Oh god, the OST. Ever since I bought this game on release I’ve been waiting for it to come out. Please let it be out soon.

Alright, I’ll be honest. I love Aquaria, but my computers kinda suck right now, so I haven’t found it worth the investment yet to play beyond the demo. Hopefully someday fairly soon I can upgrade and support the game further.
However, it’s been clearly set in my mind ever since first seeing and hearing the game, that if a soundtrack ever goes on sale I WILL buy it, no questions asked! I don’t care if it’s worth as much as buying the game itself, I want it! *cough* …and this is coming from a guy that actually did torrent the mp3’s (not the game, never the game, just the music).
So yeah Alec, take your time, make it good, but please do finish the soundtrack! You’ll be earning money from people like me who have yet to even buy the game!
