Photoblogging: Aquaria at ACMI and Macworld
Hey, guys! Finally got all of the photos that I took in Australia at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and at Macworld onto my computer. Thought I’d share some of them with you.

Hey, it’s Macworld!

There’s Xander at the Ambrosia booth. No, he’s not wearing pants back there!

John “Baconspiracy” Champlin demonstrates the game for two curious onlookers. The number “4100″ hovers ominously in the distance.

Aquaria in the games pavilion! Awesome!

Ooh, so pretty and shiny. The games pavilion was quite fun, and I enjoyed watching people play Aquaria.

This furry little Australian dwarf is here to show you that we are transitioning to ACMI photos. He was fairly uninterested by Aquaria… until I pointed out that you can kill monkeys. He really doesn’t like monkeys.

What a beautiful museum. Right in the middle of Federation Square.

Some weird guy doing a terrible impression of a red moped.

Aquaria and Fizzball postcards at the gift shop! The shop looked great… lots of angles and bright colors. Wish I had snapped a photo of the whole room.

A bit blurry photo of the entrance to the “Games Lab” where the 2007 IGF finalists are kept.

This is what the inside looks like. Lots of computers set up, with the games ready to play. The games are also projected onto the walls. (I think that guy there is a cyborg.)

Another shot of the computers. There were two rooms.

Aha, there’s Aquaria! There are kiosks inside the room that let you learn more about the games. Yay, touch screens!

This youngling was monopolizing the Aquaria computer. “She’s so cute!” is what she kept saying to her mum. Awww!

How to play Aquaria! This would have been useful to have during development…

Minority Report 2: Minorities Making Games!
I want to say more about my experiences, but this post is already so long! I’ll save it for later (or the forums). It’s been a wild, crazy ride since the release. Thanks to everyone who played the game (even if it was just the demo), wrote about it, reviewed it, let us know what you thought about it, or talked about it with friends and family. It means a great deal to us. Talk to you soon!
Note: the photos with me in them are courtesy of “Flan.” <3

I have inferred from these photos that there is a country, possibly a continent, that as a nation, considers Aquaria to be art, history, or more likely both.
That’s pretty cool.
I want to check out this “museum”.

ACMI is a very, very neat place.
…And I seem to have an ever-growing list of reasons to revisit Melbourne.

D’oh! I live in Melbourne - I would have loved to have gone to see Aquaria at ACMI. I’m especially annoyed I’ve missed the opportunity to pick up some postcards, as I love the artwork of the game.
I hope you enjoyed our (very warm) summer… and the ‘furry’ animals

Holy crap! I think I’ve seen that very museum! When we went to Melbourne…
Photos are very cool, it means we can see a bit of what it was like, rather than reading it all. Heh, stupid koalas >.>

I was un-awares that you were in our humble downunderverse. And you were infact just down the road from my workplace. Dammit, I should pay more attentions to the internets.

Kicking off 2010’s mma events is the amazing UFC 108. It’s definitely going to be a great event with the main match being Evans vs Silva going head to head. You can watch evans vs silva fight video for FREE in full HD without paying that grotty $55.95 PPV cost.
