Oookay, so I was missing a tiny area, a save point in the Energy Temple. Since this is a frustrating issue, if anyone else is missing one small thing and can't get the Explorer achievement on Steam, see if you missed any of these. I also included my own 100% completion file if nothing else works.

Alphasoldier's save is no longer available, but I'll offer my 100% completion save file as a replacement. I don't have maxed items but I have every achievement. Hope this helps.

This thread also has a checklist of stuff anyone having trouble with the Explorer achievement should take a look at.

3  Aquaria / Gameplay / Re: Can't seem to get the Explorer achievement - what have I missed? *spoilers* on: April 29, 2017, 08:52:46 AM
My apologies for resurrecting a dead thread, but this is the top result on Google for this problem and I wanted to share how I fixed my missing Explorer achievement issue.

Check these first: (list taken from Shizumi's post on Steam's discussion)

  • Collected all treasure items.
  • Collected 4 pets.
  • Learned 10 songs (shown in menu).
  • Found 3 lost memories.
  • Collected 5 Verse Eggs.
  • Unlocked the 3rd cooking slot.
  • Found the two Weird Fish.
  • Entered the final area (completion isn't necessary).

If those don't work, my personal missing area was a save point I missed in the Energy Temple. Link to map (Imgur). Apparently Tabarnaco had the same missing area, ha ha;;;

And if none of those work, I've uploaded a 100% completion Steam save. This has all treasures, all achievements. Maybe that will work as a last-ditch effort for anyone else having the same issue. The Windows 7 save file location should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Aquaria\save

There are 4 pets, you can find them at various points in the game. The first one is located south-west of the first Open Waters area. Might require the Bind Song to get.
5  Aquaria / Support / Steam Explorer Achievement Not Granting (solved) on: April 28, 2017, 09:40:21 AM
I've gotten every form, life egg, pet, song, and treasure, including the 3rd cooking slot and all 3 memories for the secret ending. I've even got the Weird Fish achievement. Somehow I still don't have the Explorer achievement despite beating the game, and I haven't got a clue what I could be missing. I don't suppose there's a way to fix this?

(This is actually my 4th time I've played the game, I just wanted to get the achievements on Steam because Aquaria is my favorite game.)

I finally did a fan art for Aquaria. The actual file is a little large so I hope the forum resizes it. Otherwise I might need to re-upload later. Ok, that was indeed a bit big. Here's a more reasonable size for forum browsing.

7  Bit Blot / Games / Starbound on: September 04, 2016, 07:30:37 PM
Starbound recently came out of beta and released its 1.0 version. I've been playing on and off since the Glad Giraffe release and I realized today... Starbound reminds me a lot of Aquaria. It's probably the 2D graphics and the color schemes, but also a bit of the music. That's probably part of the reason I'm enjoying Starbound, even if the similarities are entirely coincidental.

Still like Aquaria the best, though! I should replay it again sometime. Beat the game 3 times, but never played on Steam.

Great picture, Bhoren! The Krotite warrior looks amazing. I love the effect of the blood streaming in the water.

Darn. Would be nice to play on my tablet, though at this point I'm not sure my first-gen Nexus 7 can handle Aquaria.

Let's all sleep in it, it'll be like a party.

Ah, yes, absolutely adorable. I like how the sword is wavy.

Wow, so much cool fan art lately.

Killigan: Pretty cool. I like the emotion in the picture.

Kein: Wow. Amazing. I love the colors and the glow of her skin. And I was always wondering how Naija kept her soups from sloshing around the rest of the ocean. I guess it would make sense she'd drink it like out of a coconut. Did you draw that on paper, then color on the computer? What program did you use?

Bhoren: Your pictures look pretty cool, but you should use brighter colors. I like the 2nd one best.

The Create: The details on Mithalas are awesome. It's interesting how you made him so colorful, like his armor is slightly crystalline. It helps remind me that he was a god before he became like that - like the remnants of glory.
13  Aquaria / Modding / Re: Labyrinth Mod Released on: July 14, 2013, 09:54:34 AM
Really great mod! The part with the dragonflies and all the plant stalks ranks right up there with Ice Veil as one of my favorite parts of Aquaria, even if it's non-canon (haha).

Also, the name of the mod is completely accurate to the gameplay. Mazes all the way, but nevertheless, extremely well done.

I had to screenshot pieces of the main labyrinth and put them together to figure out how to get out of the place. My thanks to fgenesis and everyone else who helped me when I got lost.
14  Aquaria / Modding / Re: Aquaria: Sacrifice v1.12 on: July 14, 2013, 09:49:09 AM
I finished The Sacrifice earlier today, and I have to say... it was heartbreaking.

Great job on the mod. I really enjoyed it.

I am a little confused on exactly what happened during the storyline, but... I really, really feel sorry for poor Elena. With a name like The Sacrifice, I shouldn't be surprised, but I didn't quite expect the tragedy to start before the mod even ended. Such a heartbreaking story...

Spoiler-ish? [And I never ever want to see Old Fred again.]

I just did it the brute force way. Keep trying and hope there are repeating notes. And do it as fast as you can :|

Not showing directions mode? I just clicked on him to try again.
